Planning a Sports Themed Party for Kids

In deciding these matters, involve your child so that everything has his personal touch.

Once you have answered the first question, you can now work your way into the details. Let us say your tot has decided on having a swimming party. You can look for a swimming pool facility that is safe enough for kids as your venue, or maybe you can assemble a handful of plastic kiddie pools in your yard and set up tents. For your goodie bags, you might want to put in some goggles, a rubber ducky, or a school of plastic fish to go with the water element. Your games can be concentrated on challenges that are in the water, such as coin diving, water volleyball, or catching toy fish. The prizes can be a medal or ribbon, similar to what you would get from a swimming competition. If your child wants to stick with football, base the hues of your decorations on his favourite team's colours. Maybe you can have a soccer ball cake made and juice dressed up as energy drinks for the quenchers. You can even ask the guests to come in football uniforms.
